Who we are and what this policy covers

A de Coco is a brand owned by Coco Colima S.A. de C.V. In this policy, “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Coco Colima S.A. de C.V. in connection with the A de Coco website at adecoco.us.

This policy covers this website, its newsletter signup, and communications you send through the contact options on the site. Retailers and other third parties have their own privacy practices. This policy does not replace notices that may apply to separate business relationships.

Information we collect

  • Information you provide. When you subscribe or contact us by email, phone, or WhatsApp, we receive the information you choose to share, such as your name, email address, phone number, company, and message.
  • Website activity. Our website and service providers may process technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, referring page, pages visited, approximate location, and interactions with the site.
  • Newsletter activity. Our newsletter provider may record subscription status, delivery information, email opens, and link clicks to help deliver and measure our communications.

The website does not currently offer customer accounts or an online checkout. Please do not send payment card details or sensitive personal information through our general contact channels.

How we use information

We use information to respond to questions and business inquiries, send newsletters you request, maintain and protect the website, understand which content is useful, and improve our communications. We may also use information to meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and protect our rights and the rights of others.

Google Analytics, cookies, and browser storage

We use Google Analytics to understand visits and activity on this website. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to collect information about your browser and interactions. Google processes information in connection with providing this service. Read how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

We also use local storage in your browser to remember that the newsletter popup has already been shown. This preference stays in that browser until its site data is cleared. Clearing it may cause the popup to appear again.

You can manage or delete cookies and site storage through your browser settings. You can also use Google’s Analytics opt-out browser add-on in supported browsers. These controls apply to the browser or device where you set them, and blocking storage may affect some website features.

Newsletter and service providers

Our signup form and newsletter are provided through Beehiiv. Subscribing sends the information you enter to that service to manage your subscription and deliver our emails. Loading the embedded signup form also connects your browser to Beehiiv, which may process technical information and use cookies or similar technologies. See Beehiiv’s privacy policy for its own processing practices.

We use providers for website hosting, content delivery, analytics, email, and communications. They receive information needed to provide those services. We may disclose information when required by law, to respond to valid legal requests, to protect people or our services, or as part of a business reorganization or transfer subject to applicable law.

Your choices and privacy requests

You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the unsubscribe link in a newsletter. You may still receive replies to your inquiries or communications needed for an existing business relationship.

Depending on where you live and the laws that apply, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information, receive a copy of it, or object to or limit certain uses. Contact [email protected] to make a request or ask about your choices. We may need to verify your identity before acting and may retain information where legally permitted or required. If we cannot fulfill a request, you can ask us to review our response. You may also have the right to contact your local data protection authority.

Retention, security, and international processing

Retention depends on why information was collected, whether you remain subscribed or in contact with us, and applicable legal, security, and recordkeeping needs. Browser storage and information processed by service providers may have separate retention settings.

No website, email service, or method of storage can guarantee absolute security. Please contact us if you believe information shared with us has been misused.

Coco Colima S.A. de C.V. is based in Mexico, and our website serves visitors in the United States and elsewhere. Information may be processed in Mexico, the United States, or other countries where our providers operate. Those countries may have different privacy laws; applicable legal protections continue to apply.

Children and external services

This website is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. Please contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information so we can review and address it.

Links to retailers, Google Drive documents, social networks, YouTube, and WhatsApp take you to services with their own terms and privacy policies. Their collection and use of information are governed by those policies.

Updates to this policy

We may update this policy as the website or our practices change. The date at the top identifies the latest revision. Where the law requires additional notice or consent, we will provide it.
